MAREN SEXTRO

Maren Sextro is a freelance director, camerawoman and editor based in Berlin and Oldenburg/Bremen.

Specializing in producing high-quality DSLR video content for online media, she can work as a part of a team, or manage an entire project on her own – from conception to post-production.

With more than 15 years of experience in media production and editorial work, she has developed and released new media formats, several internationally acclaimed DVD-projects, two full-length documentaries and a web series as well as numerous shorter film projects.

Catering to commercial as well as cultural clients, tradtional as well as new formats, looking deeply into subjects is just as important to her as finding an aesthetic way to present the topic.

Maren Sextro holds a university degree in Media Science/Consulting (Diplom-Medienberatung mit fachwissenschaftlicher Vertiefung Politikwissenschaft) and is trained as an „Audiovisual Media Clerk“ (Kauffrau für audio-visuelle Medien). Her thesis about "Mockumentaries" has been released by the Universitätsverlag TU Berlin and is available from amazon.
